Digital ERFA 1(2): Incentive structures & skills provision in early teams through the PRE-STEP development project

How can we support early teams in creating incentive structures and skills provision?

Focus for ERFA 1(2)
During this digital ERFA meeting, we focus on the challenges and opportunities that early teams face in finding ways around incentive structures and competences – both in the team and around it. We share experiences and knowledge from methodological tools through the PRE-STEP pilot project.

Participating organisations are Borås INK, Create Business incubator, Kalmar Science park gå, KTH innovation, LEAD, Movexum, SISP and Uppsala University Innovation Office

Background to PRE-STEP
PRE-STEP is a project that aims to strengthen Sweden’s startups by improving their work with team issues in early phases, thus increasing their competitiveness.

With the support of Vinnova, SISP, in co-operation with innovation offices, incubators and science parks, has mapped the needs and tools needed to support companies in the early stages of development (also known as the formation phase) in terms of team issues.

The aim is to match needs with tools relevant to entrepreneurs, idea carriers and researchers in deep tech, life science and broad incubation. These tools and methods will then be implemented through innovation offices, holding companies and the Swedish incubator system to strengthen business development. In the long term, we want to be able to offer relevant training for local counsellors, business developers and coaches who can use the tools towards entrepreneurs, researchers and idea carriers.
