About NetPort Science Park

As a science park, we are a meeting place for people, ideas, knowledge and creativity, and we are also a platform for major innovation and development projects. We have been around for over 20 years and have run more than 150 projects, mainly in our focus areas where we are leaders in many areas! Tech AI, cloud services, gamification, chatbots and immersive experiences, the list is endless when it comes to technology that gives us new opportunities to meet, learn and create together. We want to create initiatives and collaborations where tech contributes to social development, increases the competitiveness of companies, deepens learning and simplifies collaboration.

Tech is one of Blekinge’s three designated areas of strength (smart specialisations). Tech has both breadth (digitalisation) and excellence through Blekinge’s tech companies and the research conducted in academia.

Energy has been a focus area at NetPort since 2013. Over the years, many projects in the field have been carried out and the topicality of energy-related issues has only increased. The global situation is putting our energy supply to the test at the same time as the globe requires us to conserve resources and change our energy use at an accelerating pace.

The projects that NetPort runs and participates in in this area are trying in various ways to take us into the sustainable society of the future in a sustainable and innovative way. Societal innovation is about meeting and solving societal challenges in new innovative ways. A societal innovation can be a service, product, process, method or collaboration. The solutions are developed and tested in broad innovation teams with many different stakeholders. When collaboration takes place, it also increases sustainability for people, the environment and the economy.

At the centre of ideas and innovations are always benefits for society and the people affected. We believe in the ability of our businesses, researchers, citizens and organisations to collaborate and innovate to solve problems. Through social innovation missions, we increase our competitiveness by exploring new areas of innovation.
