The contest targets the top Nordic sports technology startups specializing in five key areas: augmented or virtual reality, artificial intelligence, wearables, eSports and fan experience.

– Sports Tech is one great example of the technologies that we see are growing rapidly within the Swedish ecosystem for innovation, where Peak Region is a niched actor in Sweden stimulating companies to go global with their products, services and solutions, says Magnus Lundin CEO Swedish Incubators & Science Parks.

Ten chosen startups was given a 4 min pitch in front of hundreds of Smash attendees and the prestigious jury: Roger Talermo from SMASH, Pelle Simonsson from Peak Region Science Park, Ollie Philips from PwC, Albert Mundet from Barca Innovation Hub, Mika Raitola from Telia and representatives from Nordea and NordicBan.
