Stakeholders from Uppsala inaugurated the new innovation hub Hubben located on Dag Hammarskjöldsväg 38 in Uppsala Science Park.
– The is a strong development in Uppsala where the municipality is following and supporting, said Charlotte Skott, Enterprises Manager at Uppsala Municipality.
The inauguration started with a panel discussion with participants Jakob Lindvall, Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, Charlotte Skott and Christina Frimodig, CEO Stuns and Fredrik Wirdenius, CEO Vasakronan on the topics of entrepreneurship, innovation and development.
– After the peer review performed six years ago all participants consent that the one key part missing in the Uppsala ecosystem for innovation is where you actually meet and exchange ideas, said Jakob Lindvall, Swedish Incubators & Science Parks.
Hubben is the new meeting point in Uppsala Science Park with 12 500 square meters, labs, restaurants and conference facilities. The entrance floor is the natural meeting area where you meet and share knowledge. Entrances from different angles makes Hubben easy to access from all surrounding buildings in the Science Park.
– Uppsala ecosystem has all possibilities to find their own identity on a global level but at the same time take advantage of their close position to Stockholm, said Jakob Lindvall.
