The Industry of the Future and the 33 List are examples of collaborations and knowledge exchanges that are crucial to driving development forward.
On 11 April, a brand new meeting place will take over Stockholm, when Framtidens Industri, organised by Ny Teknik, shines the spotlight on the latest technology and outstanding ideas that are shaping tomorrow’s industrial landscape. During the year, Sweden’s most prominent startups will also be shortlisted for the 33-strong list. SISP and Ignite support the work by contributing with expertise, but above all by engaging the network of innovation environments and companies around Sweden.
There is no doubt that established industry in Sweden is undergoing a major transition as new technologies develop at a rapid pace. A challenge for larger manufacturing companies, but also an opportunity, is to be able to adapt to the new landscape and capitalise on the innovative opportunities on offer. Formerly traditional industries are now turning to innovative startups and the latest technologies to drive change and sustainable growth. For many years, Ny Teknik has run the 33 list to recognise Sweden’s most prominent startups. Now they are taking it a step further and bringing together established industry to learn how they can better collaborate with these new companies to accelerate the transition.
“By bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, innovation communities and investors, the event aims to create a creative environment where ideas can flourish and new collaborations can emerge.”
– Future of Industry is not just another conference; it is a platform to explore and discuss the latest innovations and business opportunities in different sectors of industry. By bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, innovation communities and investors, the event aims to create a creative environment where ideas can flourish and new collaborations can emerge. We look forward to having Ignite in the programme to share how the unique matchmaking process has successfully contributed to hundreds of deals between startups and large companies, says Helena Wiktelius, Head of Events, Ny Teknik Group.
Every year since 2008, Ny Teknik has gathered Sweden’s most promising and hot young technology startups on the 33 list. The list highlights and celebrates 33 unique startups that have the potential to change the game in their respective industries. It recognises their hard work and innovative thinking that not only inspires others, but also attracts investment and business opportunities. In 2024, Ny Teknik will be touring different innovation environments around Sweden to ensure that no one is missed. It will visit events already planned by SISP members in both spring and autumn, ending with the final event in Stockholm on 2 December.
“Both the Industry of the Future and the 33 List are examples of collaborations and knowledge exchanges that are crucial to driving future industrial development forward”
– The 33 List plays a crucial role in fostering Sweden’s innovative ecosystem. They provide a platform to highlight breakthrough ideas and connect entrepreneurs with the resources and contacts they need to succeed. The partnership with SISP allows us to join forces to promote innovation and growth and create a more dynamic and competitive industrial sector together, across the country. Both Industry of the Future and the 33 List are examples of collaborations and knowledge exchanges that are crucial to driving industrial development forward,” concludes Helena Wiktelius.
