The Yes Way

We offer tried and tested tools to enable more people to be part of the development of society and technology, regardless of gender, origin, age or disability. This in turn creates space for new and different innovative solutions, competences and forms of enterprise.

2020 - 2020

The Yes Way works for a gender-equal and inclusive innovation promotion

Since its launch in 2018, we have developed tools to better attract and support entrepreneurs and innovators who are hard to reach by the current innovation support system, with a particular focus on women and non-binary people.

Innovation has long been associated primarily with male-dominated industries and masculinely symbolised technology, although in practice innovation occurs in all industries and sectors of society and comes in many forms.

As the sustainable solutions of the future are developed by different types of people with different motivations, there is a need for support and ways of working that are suitable for a variety of ideas, solutions, services and products.

Many of us want to strengthen and broaden the power of innovation in our country, and most understand the value of working in a gender-equal and inclusive way in their innovation-promoting activities. But just as many wonder how to go about it in practice. The Yes Way’s initiatives and methods show how you can work in your organisation.

The Yes Way has been initiated and led by Ideon Innovation and has been developed during 2018-2020 between several innovation-promoting environments, Ideon Innovation, Bizmaker, Venture Lab, Movexum, Blekinge Business Incubator, Peak Region, SSE Business Lab and Jämställd Utveckling Skåne.

During the project period, the initiative has been funded by VINNOVA, Ideon Innovation, the European Development Fund and the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth.
