2020 - 2023

Swedish Innovation Arena project awarded EU funding

SISP’s Swedish Innovation Arena project aims to make resources and tools available throughout the academic innovation support system and thus contribute to a more efficient innovation system. The project wants to contribute to an increased system view among the innovation promotion actors to clarify, coordinate and strengthen the various promotion actors’ offers to startups and growing companies. The project also aims to make available and productivise already developed and verified methods and tools for business development to all SISP members.

Growth Agency’s motivation

The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth has granted SISP’s application on the following grounds.

“The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth considers that the project fits in with the call for proposals and investment priority. The project contributes to the purpose of the Regional Fund, to change structures to provide better conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises. The project is seen positively as it takes a holistic approach to Sweden’s incubators and science parks that work to support SMEs in their development and help them to stand better in international competition. The aim of the project is to ensure that all incubators and science parks have the same conditions and access to the same tools, in order to provide all companies with an equivalent offer. The project will help to ensure that resources are used more intelligently and that the innovation system becomes more efficient. If the project succeeds in its mission, the effects for companies in Sweden could be very positive, with increased competitiveness and increased exports being some of the potential effects.”
