SISP strengthens the team with Katarina Bennich as new project manager. With broad experience from both the Swedish and international innovation environment, she will run strategic projects and contribute to the development of Sweden's innovation system.
We are pleased to welcome Katarina Bennich as new project manager at SISP – Swedish Incubators & Science Parks. With a solid experience from both the Swedish and international innovation ecosystem, she now takes her place in the team to strengthen the work of developing Sweden’s innovation capacity and competitiveness.
Katarina has for several years worked at the interface between business, academia and the public sector, where she has contributed to positioning Swedish innovation power in the international arena. She has worked in Silicon Valley and at the British Embassy in Stockholm, focusing on creating collaborations and opening doors for Swedish growth companies. For the past seven years, she has been active as Chief Marketing Officer in fast-growing SaaS companies, where she has built and led marketing and communication teams with a focus on business development, brand development and international expansion.
– “I am so happy to be back on this side of the table and to have the opportunity to contribute to the Swedish innovation system again,” says Katarina Bennich. “Working closely with the key players in the ecosystem and pursuing issues that actually make a difference to Sweden’s future is extremely motivating.
At SISP, Katarina will take on the role of project manager, with responsibility for both national and international projects that promote the development of startups, scaleups and innovation environments. She will work to create and run meeting places where actors from all over the country and international partners can meet, share experiences and build new collaborations across borders. One of the initiatives that Katarina is particularly involved in is Sweden Startup Nation, which aims to further strengthen Sweden’s role as an attractive country for startups and innovative companies to grow and develop in.
– “I’m really looking forward to contributing to something bigger,” Katarina continues. “To be able to support SISP’s important work to make Sweden the world’s leading innovation country is a fantastic opportunity. This is not just about creating more companies, but also about building a sustainable future where innovation solves major societal challenges.
When Katarina is not working on developing Sweden’s innovation environments, she enjoys spending time in the woods with her family, on the yoga mat, or at a nice dinner table with friends.
A warm welcome to SISP, Katarina!
