“Communication can lift the whole innovation ecosystem” – meet our new colleague Ellen Gribing

We are pleased to welcome Ellen Gribing as the new Communications & Community Manager at SISP! With a background in both communications and innovation systems practice, she will now help to elevate the work of our members and strengthen the story of Sweden’s innovation power.

Here we get to know Ellen a little better – about what attracted her to the role, what she brings to it and what she is most looking forward to in the future

Welcome Ellen! What attracted you to this particular position and organisation?
Thank you! It was exciting to come back to the innovation world, and now with a national focus. Very rewarding to be able to contribute to Sweden’s innovation power by communicating the fantastic work that SISP and its members do!

How would you describe your view on the role of communication in building strong innovative ecosystems?
I think there is such strength in it. By inspiring, engaging in dialogue and highlighting good examples, we can strengthen the innovation system and the more we communicate, we can also strengthen Sweden’s position as an innovative country.

You have previously worked with several of our members when you were at Innovation Platform Västra Götaland – how do you bring that into your new role?
In addition to rewarding collaboration experiences from that time, I bring with me the great collaborative power and creativity that exists in this industry, parts that feel fun to take on again from a communicative perspective!

What are you most looking forward to doing in relation to SISP members in the future?
I look forward to getting to know the members at upcoming network meetings and together seeing how we can strengthen and develop communication around all the fantastic initiatives they stand for.

Something that doesn’t show up on my LinkedIn is that I have lived and danced in New York! Dancing has always been a big part of life and is still a big passion.
