Umeå Biotech Incubator is a state of the art biotech incubator, offering facilities, know-how and finan-cing. We have been named one of Europe’s top 15 biotech incubators and we are aiming to become the best.

We strive to offer internationally competitive services for verification and development of innovations. Our entrepreneurs are researchers or clinicians from all areas of life sciences and our resources are invested in the ideas with the highest quality and best potential. 

Since the start in 2003 UBI has been involved in the development of at least 34 companies, and our projects have a very high success rate for landing financing from VINNOVA and other external financiers.

Umeå Biotech Incubator is dedicated to growing the Scandinavian life sciences sector by developing biomedical businesses that can contribute to regional and national growth in Västerbotten and Sweden. 

We collaborate with research-based institutions in the Umeå area, such as Umeå Universitet, Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet (SLU), Norrlands Universitetssjukhus (NUS) and Försvarets forskningsinstitut (FOI).
