PITEÅ SCIENCE PARK is a creative cross-disciplinary arena where industry, academia, business and society collaborate to commercialize research, develop new ideas, build competence as well as create and innovate together.

Focusing on Creative Industries, Composite materials and Cleantech, our mission is to support entrepreneurs, companies, students and researchers, to create growth throughout the region.

We do this by managing cluster initiatives and innovation projects, offering support for business development and entrepreneurship and creating attractive meeting places. 

Luleå University of technology, with 17,000 students and 1,500 employees, is the largest actor in the area with the Department of Arts, Communication and Education, and the National Academy of Music stationed in Piteå.

In total, there are 600 students in Piteå. There are also three research institutes, RISE/SP ETC, RISE Interactive and Swerea SICOMP. Additionally, there is a number of unique demonstration and pilot plants. 

GO BUSINESS is our incubator where we actively support young companies. We give them the support and tools needed to establish their business and grow. Go Business has offices in Piteå, Luleå and Boden.
