As the first of its kind in Sweden and northern Europe, Ideon Science Park was built over 35 years ago right next to Lund University to connect scientists and researchers with innovators and entrepreneurs.
This open innovation mindset has resulted in innovations like Bluetooth, the first respirator, the imaging software for smartphones (Scalado), the medical ultrasound, the first artificial kidney (Gambro), the first Ericsson mobile phone, the first network based printer server (Axis), Hövding – the invisible bike helmet, face recognition (Polar Rose) and many more.
Since 2019, Ideon Science Park is in an active partnership with and host of the UNOPS Global Innovation Center Sweden – connecting global challenges with innovations.
